Printing Barcodes
Generate and print QR codes and DataMatrix labels for your containers.
A barcode is the bridge between the physical and digital world. TARE generates a unique UUID for every item, encoded into a high-density DataMatrix or QR code.
Supported Printers
- DYMO LabelWriter450, 4XL, 550 series. Ideal for small batches.
- Zebra ZD SeriesZD420, ZD620 via ZPL. Best for cryo-labels and high volume.
Printing Instructions
- Navigate to Inventory to view your item list.
- Select the checkbox next to the item(s) you wish to label.
- Click the Print Label button in the toolbar.
- Choose your label size:
- Small (1" x 0.5"): Cryo-tubes and vials.
- Medium (2" x 1"): General bottles.
- Large (4" x 2"): Shipping boxes.
- Click Print. Your browser's print dialog will open.
Scanning
Once labeled, you can scan the item using any 2D barcode scanner or your mobile device camera to instantly pull up its details, check it out, or move it.
