GHS Compliance Guide
Understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Pictograms, and Hazard Statements.
The Globally Harmonized System (GHS) is the international standard for hazard communication. TARE ensures your lab stays compliant by automatically associating hazard data with every inventory item.
Pictograms
Visual indicators of risk (e.g., Flame, Skull & Crossbones). TARE displays these prominently on item details and printed labels.
Signal Words
DANGER (severe) or WARNING (less severe). This indicates the relative level of severity of the hazard.
H & P Phrases
| Type | Code | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Hazard | H225 | Highly flammable liquid and vapour |
| Precaution | P210 | Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames. |
SDS Management
TARE automatically fetches and stores the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) PDF for every chemical you add. You can view or download it directly from the item's page.
