Creating Protocols

Standardize your methods using templates with variables, timers, and rich media.

Reproducibility starts with standardized protocols. TARE allows you to create living templates that your team can execute, modify, and version control.

Anatomy of a Protocol

Variables

Define placeholders like {{Sample Volume}} or {{Incubation Temp}}. Users will be prompted to enter these values when they run the protocol.

Rich Media

Drag and drop images or diagrams directly into steps to provide visual instructions.

Creating a New Template

  1. Go to Experiments > Protocols.
  2. Click + New Protocol.
  3. Add a title and description.
  4. Add Steps: Click "Add Step" to insert instruction blocks.
  5. Add Timers: Toggle the "Timer" switch on a step to embed a countdown clock.
  6. Save: Click "Publish Version 1.0".
