Adding Chemicals
Register new chemical containers using our global CAS database.
TARE simplifies chemical inventory management by connecting directly to global chemical databases. Instead of manually typing physical properties, simply search by CAS number or name.
Smart Search
Try searching for "Acetone" or "67-64-1". TARE will automatically populate the molecular weight, formula, and density.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to the Inventory page and click the + New Item button.
- In the Chemical Search field, type the product name or CAS number.
- Select the correct match from the dropdown.(This auto-fills the GHS safety data!)
- Enter the specific container details:
- Amount: e.g., 500 mL
- Location: e.g., Flammables Cabinet > Shelf 1
- Lot Number: (Optional) from the manufacturer label
- Expiration Date: (Optional)
- Click Save Item.
Structure Drawing
For novel compounds without a CAS number, you can draw the structure manually.
SMILES Integration
Paste a SMILES string (e.g., CC(=O)C) to instantly generate a 2D structure preview.
